Sump pump

Ever since the invention of plumbing in great civilizations like the Greek, Roman, Persian, Indian, and Chinese civilizations, there have been plumbing problems. Luckily, there have also always been solutions.

There are many reasons to call a plumber — routine pipe check-ups, emergency toilet backups, or a sudden decrease in water pressure or quality might be good reasons to pick up the phone on an average day.

Although you might think that 24 hour plumbing service are largely unnecessary (after all, what can’t you get done on weekend afternoons, or by yourself in the evenings?) but this is precisely why it is wise to have the critical service on call.

Water leaks, sewer problems, and water heater failure can seem like small issues, until they become dangerous and extremely inconvenient ones. Here are a couple of plumbing nightmares that could become your reality, and which you’ll be thankful to have the number of a 24 hour plumbing service for.

Burst Pipes
This can happen at any time, especially if the plumbing your house is particularly old, but is more likely in the winter when pipes are not properly insulated. If your pipes burst in the middle of the night, you’ll want help immediately to make sure the situation does not get out of hand.

Sewer Backup
If your sewer system is over 40 years old, it may need replacing, or at least some serious sewer repair If it is allowed to continue to corrode, it could lead to contaminants in your water, or worse, raw sewage leaking into your home. If that doesn’t warrant an emergency plumbing situation, we don’t know what does.

D.I.Y Nightmares
It’s possible that up till now, you’ve take things into your own hands. This is totally cool and even wise up to a certain point, but if you’ve damaged areas of your home’s plumbing system beyond repair, it’s definitely time to call in the professionals. Tell them the dog did it.

Regardless of the issue, its always good to have a working relationship with your favorite local plumber — even tightening up small water leaks can have added bonuses like saving homeowners 10% on their water bills.
